Aggressor camouflage F-16 “BDU Splinter”64th Nellis
F-16’s of the 18th Aggressor Squadron painted in an paint scheme blue aircraft is sporting a latest generation BDU Splinter camouflage scheme to replicate current Russian fighters. After the release of the first images of the  F-15E Strike EagleC 78-0509/WA-09 of the 65th AGRS Squadron (Aggressor Squadron) in “splinter” camouflage in Red Flag 12-2, many have wondered which country the new Nellis Eagle’s color scheme is copying. Although, it is not a perfect copy, the design seems to be inspired by that of the Sukhoi Su-35S, Russia’s future hyper-maneuverable multi-role fighter. Even the PAK-FA Sukhoi Su-57
color scheme has something in common with the Nellis Aggressor’s splinter paint scheme.
The BDU Splinter scheme is intended to replicate the pattern used on the Russian Sukhoi  Su-30 and Sukhoi  Su-35 . Some parts of the aircraft in these schemes, such as the bars, pylons and fuel tanks are often (but not always) left in the default colors FS 36270 or FS 36375.
