The A-7H has proven extremely reliable and popular with both pilots and ground crew. P.A. decided to buy more A-7s in the early 1990s. This led to the purchase of some surplus US Navy A-7Es and TA-7Cs. Delivery took place in 1992, with the aircraft being issued at 116 p.m. in Araxos where they equipped 335 (Tiger) Mira and 336 (Olympos) Mira.

All A-7Es wore the Vietnam variant like their predecessors, the A-7H.
In 1993, 43 A-7Es and 19 TA-7Cs were received from US Navy reserves and replaced the F-104Gs in the 335th and 336th Squadrons. Since 2002, all Greek A-7E Corsair IIs operated from Araxos Air Base, until their retirement on October 31, 2014.

The Air Force (PA) participated in the international military exhibition “Royal International Air Tattoo 2014”, which took place at Fairford Airport in Great Britain, with two (2) A-7E aircraft and seven (7) personnel (3 Airmen and 4 Technicians) of 336 Squadron.
The PA aircrafts were a magnet for visitors to the exhibition, resulting in the winning of two (2) awards. Specifically, a panel of judges gave the anniversary aircraft “Olympos” the first place in the “Concours d’Elegance” competition and the “Overall Winners” award, while the organizers awarded them the “Best Livery” award.
In the Crew Competition, the personnel of 336 Squadron took first place in shooting at a moving target and in rowing, as well as third place in survival. For his presence at the international exhibition. Added under the pilot’s hood. The “AIR TATTOO 14”

The A-7E Corsair II is painted all over black with silver and the Radar is matte black.( No FS- )
