The engine appeared and evolved during the B “FP. It is the longest engine and the most worn, both in fighter and bomber.
During the war years, Pratt & Whitney continued to develop new ideas for upgrading the engine, including water injection for take-off on cargo planes, passengers and emergency power supplies in combat.

I took as an example for the presentation the AIRES Detail set 1/48: 4265 which is complete and in very good detail.
