F-16 Block 52+ Advanced 335 Mira Tigris (Araxos) NATO Tiger Meet
The 335 Squadron of the 116th Fighter Wing of the Hellenic Air Force participates in the exercise “NATO Tiger Meet” from 2016 to the present day, 2024.
It should be noted that the 335th “Tiger” Squadron received the brand new fourth-generation F-16 Block 52+ (Advanced) aircraft, in its new facilities built on the premises of the 116th Fighter Wing in 2009. Their receipt was completed in February 2010, while from March of the same year the Squadron undertakes to integrate them into the arsenal of the Hellenic Air Force. the most modern fourth-generation A/F, including weapons such as the JSOW-JDAM, the LINK-16 system, as well as the new RECCE POD. Now the pilots of the 335M undertake to perform the full range of Air missions day and night and under any conditions, since the A/F with which the Squadron is equipped is capable of performing with the same efficiency all the missions of the Hellenic Air Force and NATO. Thus the pilots of the 335M continue its glorious history by flying in all the lengths and widths of both the Greek airspace and the European sky. Today the F-16 Block 52+ (Advanced), are in the process of upgrading, at the Viper level
The 335 Squadron presents us every year painted with the colors of the F-16 tiger. Since all NATO fighter squadrons that have the tiger as a mount participate in this exercise. In this article we will present the participation of the 335 Squadron in 2018-2021 which painted its two compliant tanks and its two detachable wing tanks in an impressive way. The competition between the tigers is on and which Squadron will participate with the most beautifully painted fighter. As a modernist I would say that this competition has offered us extreme interest and special topics.
